Is posting an asinine comment really worth a federal offense?

I would think that inner-office memos would be strictly confidential and not to be published or discussed out of the work place. Disclosing private company matters should be reason for disciplinary action, even termination.
It shouldn't be very hard to figure out which no-life scum couldn't wait to get on here to spread the "news." Get rid of the low-pay scale screwballs and hire some people with class and high mentality. Then this piece of trash blog would have nothing to talk about but themselves!

Look, I don’t care if people put crap on the blog, any time you have a public forum you will have people posting pure gold and pure shit. Putting someone’s social security number on a blog is completely different. That could hurt someone. As far as posting all of the “pussy talk” and crude comments aimed at media people, who cares? Anyone that works in this business is a target simply because of the nature of the beast. Before I stole this site from old Trog I was the target of more than one attack. Low-class posts from a pathetic anonymous individual are different than posting social security numbers. Frankly, I had hoped to just leave the blog up as an open place of discussion, warts and all, but not if it could actually do real harm to someone. I don’t think even old Trog would have done that.

I want to thank you for placing a system in place to control posts.
Posting my social security number was bad enough, but posting my sons was way over the line. Google Security was very easy to work with and concerned while working with us - as well as the Cyber Crimes unit of the USSS. The situation is being handled in due course. And I think many of you will be surprised at the person responsible.
Although I do not agree with many of the posts on this site, I think there is a place that should be concentrated on the media - myself included even though I will never (ever) come close to the hard working (and trying) folks in the SET Media. True, I have a Radio show that has little if any listeners and a low tech web site, but I too am open for comments and hope they continue to come so I can learn.
If you keep this blog I hope that it is controlled and moderated and comments kept focused to the media.
